'Mad Driver' is dead; long live 'Road Rage'!

So, it's been a while...

About four years ago, I published my first ever game, 'Mad Driver', on this website. I was still studying at the time and wanted to develop it as a fun little side-project I could work on whilst I was doing my school projects and writing my essays. Unfortunately, time is limited and  it had all but fallen by the wayside once I'd started doing my internships. Since then, this project has persisted in a limbo state where I sometimes made minor tweaks and changed certain aspects of the game, all of which remained unpublished...

Until now.

I've decided to continue where I left off with this project, revamping it under a new name: 'Road Rage'. As of this moment, most of the gameplay has remained untouched, but all of the various assets originally used for the game have been edited (and in my opinion drastically improved) using my newly acquired understanding of how to create both 2D textures and pixel art gained in the last few years of my studies.

Though I haven't yet worked out all of the specifics, my plan at the moment is to add three different levels to the game, each with different kinds of obstacles that also act in uniquely different ways. The locations will be varied, and I can assure you that each of them will have their own distinct character and feeling, having both their own style and sound. Any further additions to this project will be announced and explained in detail via devlogs similar to this one.

I hope those reading will enjoy this newly revamped version of the game and all the changes I'm planning to add over the next few months. If you've never seen this game before and are just reading this, I've attached the zip-file containing the executable to this post.

Take it for a whirl if you want to! :)
